Aksaray (white palace) is an outstanding monument of the epoch of Temur (Tamerlane) and Temurids. Aksaray was built on the order of Temur after his campaign against Khorezm. The construction of the building started approximately in 1379. Two separate pillars of the entrance portal with height at more than 40 meters are currently survived till today. The arch portal collapsed about 200 years ago.
The entire surface of the northern facade is decorated with mosaic ornaments. Splendid composition of geometric patterns of different colors imitates oriental rugs.
Due to the plan Aksaray was an elongated rectangular building. Due to the saved data, the construction consisted of the administrative part, reception room and garden courtyard with two-story living rooms.
