Before the appearance of Islam on the territory of modern Asian region, Buddhism was widely spread here. Through archeological excavations it had been known that Termez city (located on the southern part of Uzbekistan) was one of the biggest centers of Buddhism in Central Asia. From Termez, through the monk-pilgrims travelling on the Great Silk Road, Buddhism religion reached China and Tibet.

Day 1: Arrival. Bangkok - Tashkent

Flight
Arrival Tashkent by flight HY-532 (at 14:40) from Bangkok.
Meeting at the airport, transfer to the HOTEL, accommodation.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Tashkent - Samarkand

Bus (340 km)
Drive to Samarkand by coach (340 km) / Optional: transfer by speed train.
Arrival, transfer to the hotel, accommodation.
City tour in Samarkand: visit famous Registan Square with three madrasahs –Ulugbek Madrasah (15th c.), Sherdor Madrasah (17th c.), Tillakori Madrasah (17th c.); Guri Emir Mausoleum (14-15th cc).
Time for shopping at Siyob national bazaar for dried fruits, sweets and souvenirs.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Samarkand - Termez

Bus (385 km)
Visit Silk Paper production Factory in Samarkand where you can see and participate at the process of unique paper producing.
Drive to Termez by coach (385 km).Arrival, transfer TO THE HOTEL, accommodation.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Termez - Tashkent

Flight
Drive to the monument of Buddhist architecture – Zurmala Tower. Today it consists of the remains of Buddhist mortarthat was decorated with stony relief in ancient times. According to the archeologists, the bricks of the building were used at this territory at the beginning of the 3rd century.
Continue the tour by visiting the Buddhist Complex Fayaz-Tepa (1st-3rd cc.) that is located in the northern part of Old Termez. The complex consists of several constructions including mortar and monastery. The rooms of the monastery had been situated on the perimeter of the big yard. From inside it was decorated with wall paintings, stony and clayed sculptures of Buddha.
Within 1 kilometer from Fayaz-Tepa, Buddhist cult center Kara-Tepa is situated (2nd-4th cc.). The complex consists of one of the oldest surviving Buddhist cave monasteries in the world.
Transfer to Termez Airport. Registration and flight HY-1158 (at 21:55) to Tashkent.
Meeting at the airport, transfer to the HOTEL, accommodation.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Tashkent

Bus
City tour in Tashkent: start from visiting old part – Khazrati Imam Memorial Complex that consists of Koran Usman Museum, Barakkhan Madrasah, Tillya Sheikh Mosque and Kaffal Shahsi Mausoleum; Chorsu Oriental Bazaar for shopping.
Excursion along the new part of the city: visit Independence Square, Amir Temur Statue and local Broadway – a walking street with painters and artists, Monument of Courage, the Chimes and Alisher Navoi Theatre Square.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Tashkent - Bangkok

Flight
Transfer to Tashkent International Airport. Registration and flight HY-533 (at 08:15) to Bangkok
