During this Tour along Uzbekistan you will visit legendary mosques and madrasas in Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, which had been recognized by UNESCO architecturally IMPORTANT due to their grand designs and you will be also impressed by country’s beautiful handicrafts: delikate carving and painting on ganch and wood, skillfully worked metal and leather, carpets and decorative fabrics and ceramics of consummate mastery, all these are made using traditional methods by folk masters from different regions.

Day 1: Tashkent

Flight
Flight to Tashkent. Arrival. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

Day 2: Tashkent

Minivan / Bus
Modern part of Tashkent-Amir Temur square, chiming clocks and Independence square.
Visit to Museum of applied art, where you will see works created on the basis of ancient traditions and are related to different schools which reflect originality of individual region of Uzbekistan.
Today you are invited to Rakhimovs’ studio of ceramics, where you will be informed about history of this ceramist dynasty and about ceramic handicraft; Master class will be shown as well. Besides, tea drinking in the yard of Rakhimovs’ house will be organized specially for the guests, where you will also taste orient sweets.

Day 3: Tashkent-Urgench-Khiva

Flight
Flight to Urgench. Arrival, transfer to Khiva. Tour along old city Ichan Kala – UNESCO World Heritage site: Sayid Allauddin Mausoleum, Mukhammad Aminkhan madrasah, Mukhammad Rahimkhan madrasah, Kalta Minor, Kunya-Ark, Juma mosque, madrassah of Allakuli Khan, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, Minaret of Islam-Khoja. During the day you will visit woodcarving workshop. The woodcarvers of Khiva are acknowledged as the country’s best. You will also visit Tash-Khovli Palace and enjoy the folklore show in harem.

Day 4: Khiva-Bukhara

Flight
Transfer to Bukhara. Arrival. Accommodation.

Day 5: Bukhara

Minivan / Bus
Visit Mausoleum of Ismail Samani, Ark fortress, Kalyan mosque and minaret, Miri-Arab madrasah, Magoki-Attori mosque, madrasah of Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan, trade domes, Lyabi Hauz Complex, Chor-Minor madrasah.
You will also visit smithy. In the 19th century there were dozens of smithy workshops in Bukhara, now there are about 40 workshops still working there, creating hand-made knives and scissors, hoes, shovels, sickles and special TOOLS for other craftsmen.
Visit to silk-weaving manufacture: when making the fabric, weavers use all their imagination and craftsmanship. Nowadays traditional Uzbek fabric like khan-atlas becomes more and more refined and original.

Day 6: Bukhara

Minivan / Bus
Continuation of the sightseeing tour.
You’ll visit:
-“suzane” embroidery workshop;
-puppet studio;
-jeweller’s workshop;
-carpet manufacture.

The traditions of popular carpets weaving in Bukhara are very ancient. In Bukhara you can find different kinds of carpets: authentic, hand knotted, hand woven or handmade, old, vintage or antique, wool or silk rugs.

Day 7: Bukhara-Samarkand

Minivan / Bus
Arrival to Samarkand. Sightseeing: Registan square and Gur Emir mausoleum. Visit
to the workshops of uzbek traditional instruments and lacquer miniature.

Day 8: Samarkand-Tashkent

Minivan / Bus / Train
Continuation of the sightseeing tour: Bibi-Khanum mosque, Siab Basar, Shakhi-Zinda necropolis, Ulugbek observatory. Option: Transfer Tashkent by train. Arrival. Accommodation.

Day 9: Tashkent

Flight
Flight back home.
